Recent ECU Remapping in Cambridgeshire with Chip and Tune

Last weekend was good. Remapped a Seat Leon FR TDi 150bhp to 184bhp in Manea near March with a very happy customer.
Then on to see my friend Stuart at SDSC in Doddington near March who sells quality used cars. I remapped his Alfa Romeo 159 Diesel and this has ironed out the flat spots nicely.
A good weekend for Chip and Tune and this weekend I should be remapping a BMW 330d in March Cambridgeshire.

Mini Cooper JCW 211 bhp remap from Chip and Tune

Successful ECU remap today of a Mini Cooper JCW 211 bhp. Difficult beast to tune as already very highly tuned by John Cooper Works so really only some small gains of maybe 10 bhp or so.

Fiesta 1.4 and 1.6 TDCi ECU Remap from Chip and Tune

Hey,

Recently remapped the ECU on a Fiesta 1.6 TDCi and then a Fiesta 1.4 TDCi. Both were remapped here in Whittlesey and they were both tuned for performance gains.

I can report that both owners are extremley happy with the results and have a permanent smile from what I have been told.

ECU Remapping with Chip and Tune

August has been very quiet so far with only a couple of enquiries and these haven't been for standard ECU Remapping or they have been for vehicles that cannot be flash remapped through the diagnostic port such as an MG ZT 2.5 V6 which is a chip removal job.

August is a time for holidays and so on and a great deal of businesses can be quiet around this time.

Chip and Tune Remap Vauxhall Corsa VXR 2009 standard 192HP

Chipandtune.com remapped a Vauxhall Corsa VXR today in Manea near March. Matt wanted a performance remap and we certainly provided that. He took it for a drive afterwards and came back with a big smile and said, "that's some nice tuning".
Remember, if you have your car ECU Remapped by anyone, make sure they read and copy the original and don't flash a generic map onto the vehicle. If they do and there is a problem, then kiss goodbye to your original file as it's long gone.

We also tune each one to the spec you ask for and keep the original so you can put it back on if you ever need to, though no one has yet asked for the original. But it's there in case :-)

Audi A6 Remap

Chip and Tune remapped a 2002 Audi A6 1.9 TDi this morning, it went really well and the customer was over the moon with the results. We also did a Mercedes 2.7 CDTi the night before, remapped for economy but still gave increased performance. Again, a very pleased customer. OBD II

Remember, if you wish to flash re-map your car then it needs to be OBD II compatible. Don't assume just based on the type of engine you have that this is the case. Sometimes on a crossover year on a 2000-2001 plate car, you may well have had upgraded features on engine and gearbox, but the manufacturer may still have had a lot of old ECU's left over that needed to be used and you may have got one of them. If this is the case it may be able to be read but not remapped.

Flyers Completed for we sell any car

Flyers have now been completed and given to Parvez at We Sell Any Car in Peterborough. Parvez is looking to open a new area within the showroom selling after market products so this should fit in well with that when it is complete. In the mean time he will provide customers with a flyer that we have created each time they buy a car. I will attempt to scan the flyer so you can see it.

Stuart from www.sdsc.co.uk in Doddington has also added us to his site as well and an enquiry has come in today for our service so we'll see how that goes.

Renault Clio 182 Sport ECU Remapping by Chip and Tune

Andy has reported back on the ECU Remap we carried out on his Renault Clio 182 Sport. He is very pleased with what Chip and Tune have done, throttle response is better and the car has more torque. With the downloaded ECU Remap he had loaded the running wasn't as smooth and the exhaust note wasn't as crisp.
I'm waiting for an email from Andy to update me, which I will post on here and also on www.chipandtune.com

Chip and Tune Clio 182 Remap

The file has been read for the Clio Sport 182 Sport. Due to being done out of hours with Alientech closed it will need writing tomorrow instead because of the type of ECU as posted previously. Being a petrol injected engine the gains won't be huge though Andy would be happy if the increase were as little as an extra 10bhp.
Looking forward to seeing how well it performs after the remap is installed, especially as Andy had previously loaded an off the shelf product himself before.
I will post the results in a few days.

First File to be read

Reading my first file tonight for a guy called Andy. He has a Clio Sport 182 which has already had some remapping done with software he purchased. I have asked him to remove this and set it back to standard file before I read his. The ECU is also Siemens which can need some extra info and as Alientech will be closed when Andy comes over I will have to read the file then email it acroos. Get it looked at tomorrow and then load it later if it needs more info. Andy is looking to maximize performance from his vehicle on this occasion. Being a petrol injected car the gains wont be anything like those from a Turbo Diesel, but still, there will be a difference.
It's funny, the first appointment, project or anything in life is alwas the most difficult!!!

I have had a meeting with Parvez recently who owns and operates a used car dealership called "We sell any car", fantastic name. Parvez has agreed to promote and use Chip and Tune to do all the ECU Remapping for clients wishing to have better fuel economy and performance. Their new site is opening shortly in Peterborough, due to their success they are relocating to a larger premises. 2 weeks and counting

Chip And Tune mobile ecu remapping service and engine diagnostics is nearly ready to go. Website www.chipandtune.com is as near as ready. Site is very simple to understand and fairly clear about what we do. Any feedback is obviously great so comments appreciated. This is my first ever blog so it's a work in progress also.
Software and diagnostics equipment is all ordered and I'm awaiting arrival. Bought a Lap Top to carry out the remapping which is already here. Had 2 of my own cars done and think the results have been awsome on both my Turbo Diesel vehicles which is what made me decide to get involved personally.
